Sandalwood

Sandalwood not only has a woodsy aroma, it also has a purpose. Every oil we use in our products is used for a reason, not JUST to smell amazing. Sandalwood is use in body whip. It has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine for skin revitalization, yoga, and meditation. Me personally, I have always just loved the smell. Here, we use it to help enhance our sleep. It is high in sesquiterpenes that stimulate the pineal gland and the limbic region of the brain which is the center of emotions.  The pineal gland is responsible for releasing melatonin. My personal use of this body whip is on my feet before I go to sleep. Unlike Valerian oil, this has an amazing wood aroma so wafting those covers doesn't make you want to gag. Instead, put a small dallop on the balls of your feet, on your wrists, or wherever you may need a little extra moisture, and softly drift off to a deeper calmer sleep.
